We know that separation is never equal and integration, especially among marginalized community members, is difficult. That is why the groups’ founders, Kukunori and The Strindberg Laboratory, have brought together diverse organizations and individuals to form the No Labels, No Walls working group.
Our group’s members consist of Finnish and International organizations, NGOs and individuals whose current work is in the art and culture, immigrant, elderly, prisons, rehabilitation and educational fields. Through the diversity of our group’s members we hope to create a more equal and inclusive way of working. These new methods will be used as we create a shared artistic project titled “The Conqueror and the Conquered” Festival which will be held in Helsinki and then in Los Angeles the following year.
The No Label’s, No Walls anthem song created by RikuTurpeinen sung on the 2nd meeting of the No Labels, No Walls group meeting!
Why can’t we all be friends? If children can make friends with other kids so easily how come it’s so harder for adults. This video was created by Eetu Lipponen with students from Espoo City Schools in Espoo Finland. The song was written and performed by Riku Turpeinen. This video was created for the group No Labels, No Walls and its shared festival. For more information go to facebook.com/groups/nolabelsnowalls
